Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ICI) announced the results of its study determining Turkey's 500 largest industrial enterprises. According to the 2019 results, Antalya Kutu Sanayi ve Oluklu Mukavva Ticaret A.Ş (ANKUTSAN), which ranks 330th among Turkey's 500 largest industrial enterprises, continued its rise in the giants league this year as well and rose 66 steps in 2020, making it one of Turkey's largest 500 companies. It ranked 264th among the company.
In 2015, when it entered the ISO 2nd 500 lists for the first time, Ankutsan ranked 381st and its sales revenue from export and production increased every year. After the rapid rise in 2016 and 2017, it managed to enter Turkey's top 500 companies in 385th place in 2018. In 2019, Ankutsan rose to 330th place, showing a sales revenue of 728 million, rising 55 places at once.
Despite the coronavirus pandemic that affected the world in 2020 and all the negativities brought by the pandemic, Ankutsan increased its employment to 889 people, renewing its growth record and providing a net sales revenue of over 1 billion TL in 2020, while its exports amounted to 50 million dollars. With this performance, it increased its place among Turkey's 500 largest industrial enterprises by 66 steps, to 264th place, and took its place as the 3rd largest industrial enterprise among Antalya companies included in the ISO survey.
Contribution to the country's economy and sector will continue
Ankutsan A.S. Chairman of the Board of Directors Rüstem Kesgi thanked all employees, customers, and business partners who contributed to this success of ANKUTSAN and stated that they are working to become a world brand in their sector and that they will continue to contribute to both the sector and the Turkish economy. Rüstem Kesgi, who stated that the achievements of ANKUTSAN were crowned with the awards of various professional chambers and organizations, also announced their targets for 2021.
In 2021, it targets a turnover of 1.8 billion TL and 75 million dollars in export sales.
Underlining that the growth they have shown in 2020 is an important success, Ankutsan Chairman of the Board of Directors Rüstem Kesgi said, “Despite all the negative developments caused by the pandemic, we continue to invest and grow. In addition to our existing paper factory in Adana, we are establishing a new high-tech paper production facility with an investment of 60 million Euros. With this investment, we will be producing all of the raw materials we need as 100 percent integrated. In addition, Kesgi stated that they will commission the 2nd stage investment of the Ankara facilities, which they had purchased before, at the end of the year, and said, "We will continue our growth and will work with all our strength to exceed the turnover target of 1.8 billion TL in 2021."
Expressing that they are in the leading position in the sector with a 45 percent growth in terms of dollars and a turnover of approximately 50 million dollars in exports last year and that they are targeting an export figure of 75 million dollars at the end of the year, Kesgi underlined that they maintain their market leadership.
Rüstem Kesgi, Chairman of the Board of Ankutsan, said, “ Last year, we exported to more than 60 countries in Europe, America, Australia, Asia, North Africa, and the Middle East. We continue our efforts to expand our existing markets. Pizza boxes, fresh fruit and vegetable boxes, sheet, transport boxes, seedling and flower boxes, industrial boxes; constitute the general product groups that we export. Malaysia, Singapore, etc., which are developed in the Far East and have high per capita income. countries are also among our new target markets. In order to improve our exports, we develop existing markets and continue our research for new markets. '' said.

Rüstem Kesgi said, “With our developing digital infrastructure and production facilities we have established with an industry 4.0 approach, we serve all over the world and are accessible from anywhere, we have the first R&D center in our sector approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology, we offer innovative solutions suitable for our customers. Mentioning that they have made huge investments in the digitalization path, Kesgi said, "We will be the first and only company in our sector to implement system solutions in all our facilities and management centers, including all modules of SAP solutions, this big project will also be one of the few projects of SAP in Europe." spoke.
