Throughout history, different types of packaging have taken place in our lives. The journey of packaging, which started with glass in Ancient Egypt in B.C. 1.500, continued in the 19th century and evolved into a usable form with the discovery of corrugated cardboard in England. In modern times, corrugated cardboard is one of the products that occupy a much more prominent place in human life than in the past and make life easier. It is the box of filter coffee in the morning coffee, the pizza box in the lunch, and the packaging of all kinds of products on the shelves after work, and it establishes close contact with people at any time. The widespread use of this material, which has become a part of daily life in different fields, from small household appliances to shoes, from detergents to construction materials, from e-commerce shopping to seedling transport boxes, requires a production approach where sustainability. In a world where natural resources are rapidly depleted, increasing carbon emissions and the problems it brings, sustainability inevitably becomes a necessity rather than a priority in producing such a heavily used material.
Corrugated cardboard has an increasing number of new usage areas and has a much more environmentally friendly structure than other packaging materials known as alternatives. In addition to being flexible and soft, corrugated cardboard offers transportation and storage advantages for all kinds of material manufacturers with its light structure. Packaging produced from corrugated cardboard can be recycled, dissolves quickly in nature, and does not pollute the environment. Products take up minimal space on transport vehicles. This results in fewer carbon emissions and fuel savings with fewer transport vehicles. With these features, corrugated cardboard is the most suitable packaging solution for the sustainability of resources.
As Ankutsan, we care about protecting the ecosystem and ecological balance. In all production processes of the packaging we produce from corrugated cardboard, we adopt the use of resources and production technologies by the action plans created by the green agreement and Paris Climate Agreements. With the work of our R&D centre, We limit the use of petroleum-derived chemicals and prefer biomaterials produced from renewable resources. We significantly invest in sustainable processes to produce with a low carbon footprint. While closely following global green production approaches, we adopt sustainability as a fundamental principle.

Within the European Green Deal Action Plan framework, we adopt sustainable production and resource use as the basic principle for the protection of the ecosystem. In this context, we continuously invest in green technologies to protect forests and reduce carbon footprint.
One of the most important of these investments is: Our R&D centre's project on Microfibrillated Cellulose (MFC) technology; which continues under the consultancy of Prof. Dr Sedat Ondaral and within the framework of university-industry cooperation with the Karadeniz Technical University Department of Forestry Industrial Engineering.
Biodegradable molecules called microfibrillated cellulose are used in the production of corrugated packaging; It is an innovative and natural product that limits the use of synthetic glue. Microfibril cellulose provides strong strength, safe in touch with food. With the micro-fibril technology, the strength and light structure of the corrugated cardboard is strengthened, while its environmental function is reinforced. As Ankutsan, We give priority to the use of corrugated biomaterials and prefer micro-fibril cellulose in production. We produce more efficient, durable, lighter, high-quality, innovative and sustainable corrugated cardboard packaging solutions using micro-fibril cellulose technology.
We are proud to produce sustainability awareness in all our business processes.
Although today's consumers have more expectations than in the past, and they are much more sensitive to themselves and their environment. Having a TSE ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certificate to apply global standards with high sensitivity and make environmentally friendly products can be considered an expression of our respect for the world we live in and the future. By complying with these standards:
Another practice that reinforces Ankutsan's sensitivity to sustainability is to produce by FSC standards. Fulfilling the standards set by the Forest Stewardship Council- FSC®(FSC-C145645), a non-profit multi-partner organization that aims to manage forests in an environmentally friendly, socially beneficial and economically viable manner, means undertaking essential responsibilities in terms of sustainable production in advance.
Packaging materials produced with corrugated cardboard provide essential conveniences. Corrugated cardboard solutions such as pizza boxes, various food boxes, meat and chicken boxes, fresh vegetable and fruit boxes, and e-commerce boxes in different sizes for all purposes occupy a more important place in our lives and reach almost every home. Corrugated cardboard boxes can be adjusted according to varying criteria through their durability, carrying capacity, wave type, and thickness. They can be easily personalised for each company with the ease of cutting and printing. Besides being a suitable packaging material, they also function as promotional material with their printing design.
